Membership Overview

White Bear Yacht Club membership is strictly limited to preserve an integrity-driven membership.

This exclusive membership process involves an application, letters of recommendation, member sponsorship and board approval. A limited number of memberships ensure members always enjoy the advantages and hospitality of a traditional club.

MEMBERSHIPS CATEGORIES

  • Proprietary
    • Proprietary Membership is for those who are 40 years old and over. Only one spouse receives a vote.
  • Spousal Proprietary
    • Spousal Proprietary Membership is for those who are 40 years old and over. Each spouse receives ½ a vote.
  • Associate (members under age 40)
    • Associate Membership is for those 39 years old and younger.
  • Non-Resident
    • Non-Resident Membership is for those who do not reside within, and spend less than 30 days between May 1 and October 1 in any year, within 75 miles of the Club.
  • Sailing Member
    • To qualify for as a Sailing Member, an individual must have sailed competitively for at least five years after reaching the age of 25 years old.
